All notes are tuned to +/- 10 cents. This is considering temperature changes that will regularly fluctuate and mildly effect the steel this is totally natural and most drum makers will not inform you of this. 2: All drums must be made from reclaimed materials. I build everything from reclaimed, recycled steel. Nothing is bought in as new.

Unless art work and decoration is ordered specifically, I beautify my drums with natural methods only. They are flame treated or forge heated to create the rustic effects that both I, and my customers like.

This is very much the trade mark of what I do. The market in steel tongue drums is now full of low cost, machine made products. I hand make with care, attention and detail and never charge the earth for what I do.

In this instance a heat lamp failed overnight leading to the lacquer setting with a Matt style finish in the drums centre. Absolutely not the end of the world! It's a great looking drum, but the finish is not the spec I required. I'm happy to help in any way possible.
